September Player of the Month
September saw us kicking off the 2025/26 season and, after a short delay, we're ready to look back at the nominations for September's Player of the Month.
Mini’s - Maicon
His 1st session he really struggled to join in but since then he’s been brilliant. Kind, polite, always smiling, takes everything I say on board. He's brave when it comes to game time too. If he falls over or gets tripped, he just picks himself up dusts himself down and straight back doing what he loves doing tackling and scoring goals
He has 3 older brothers who have, or still play for Wellingborough . Fingers crossed Maicon can follow in their footsteps as he’s just natural footballer, just like his brothers . Hes gonna be just as good if not better than them .
Congratulations, Maicon keep up the great work

Under-7 Tigers - Ronnie beadsmore
11 goals in 3 matches is above average for this age a stand out player and team player for our team a real joy to have with us

Under-8 Lions - Orlando
This is a tough one as everyone has been excellent and done their part for the team this month. Orlando has been outstanding though . In training, he has been in with a shout of winning the “team trainer” of the week most weeks. Where he always helps pack away equipment without me needing to ask . He doesn’t get frustrated when things are not going right for him. He just makes sure he does it correctly the next time. Orlando is always trying to improve his game especially using his weaker foot.
Never lets the team on match days always gives a 100% He’s the most selfless player I’ve ever seen . He Should be on the score sheet every week but I think he’d rather pass . The team love him too . We were recently in a round robin tournament where every player scored that day apart from Orlando, it came down to our last game when he finally did the whole team were so happy for him . He’s such a valuable member of our group I don’t think HE even realises how important he is .
Congratulations, Orlando so fully deserved Keep up the great work mate

Under-11 Lions - Mason
Mason has been amazing throughout pre season and the start of the season, helping the team to some great performances. He volunteered to be our keeper when it looked likely we'd lose our regular keeper. A change of mind by the other keeper means that Mason had to settle for a part-time keeper role.
Despite that, he's filled in for us on a number of occasions, demonstrating real understanding of the sweeper-keeper role and performing brilliantly with some great stops. Mason's other roles have included managing the centre of defence, where his strong tackling and understanding of the game have shone through. Last weekend was the first time Mason had balanced goalkeeping and on-field within the same game. In the first half, he managed a clean sheet before switching to a forward role where he scored a hat-trick!
Needless to say, we're delighted by Mason's efforts and performances, wherever he's asked to play.

Under-14 Panthers - Sal
The coaches were all in agreement an we have chosen our number 3. Sal. Sal plays with a smile on his face, even if the smile turns to a grin when he wins a hard tackle. He always brings maximum effort onto the football pitch and never gives up.
Sal has always been reliable on the pitch and has really made the left back spot his own. His left foot unleashes rockets and we know he will score this season. Sal is learning to take criticism much better and is focused on self improvement both on and off the pitch. He is well liked by all his teammates too. Congratulations Sal. Well deserved.
Under-16 Tigers - Kyle
Kyle has been with the team from the off, a founding member from my early formation of this team in Bassets park, from then to now he’s had a journey and grown in so many ways. He’s as smart as they come and a true student of the game, analysing and questioning every scenario.
Kyle has started this season as captain, a true leader and more importantly is being positive with himself and others in the team. In the games we have had so far in Sept he has been a leader in performance and as a focal point on the team. Kyle is now always encouraging others even though results have not gone our way. He’s the hub of the group and is always the central part of any banta or mischief that is brewing in training, with that infectious smile and laugh he has.
Well done Kyle , you definitely keep me on my toes and this is well deserved son. Good luck! Jay ⚽️
